About Me

Hey there, I’m Christopher Häseli, the founder of Haseli Consulting Group (HCG). I’m currently studying toward becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)), and my approach to money and investing is grounded in accounting, valuation, and long-term decision-making. I focus on understanding how money actually works — how businesses generate cash, how capital is allocated, and how informed financial decisions compound over time. As a student, I quickly realised that financial success isn’t about shortcuts or hype — it’s about clarity. Clarity around income, spending, saving, and eventually investing. That’s why I believe in:

strong financial foundations,

disciplined, intentional decision-making, and

thinking long-term in a world that pushes short-term thinking.

These principles are heavily influenced by value investing, where financial statements, business quality, and rational analysis guide decisions — not trends or speculation. But at its core, this mindset is about financial literacy, not just investing.

Why I Started Haseil Consulting Group

That sentence captures exactly why HCG exists. When I started learning about money and investing, I wasn’t lacking intelligence or ambition — I was lacking clarity. No one explained how investing actually works. No one showed how to think about money in a way that felt practical, calm, and repeatable. Instead, finance felt intimidating. Students ask themselves:

Do I even have enough money to start?

What if I make the wrong decision?

What does investing actually mean in real life?

These questions don’t come from laziness — they come from never being taught properly.

Here’s the truth:

Investing is simply putting your money to work for you. It’s about taking a portion of what you earn or save and allowing time, discipline, and sound decision-making to do the heavy lifting. It doesn’t require perfection — it requires understanding.

That’s why I built Haseli Consulting Group. HCG is the platform I wish existed when I was starting out — a place where students and young professionals can learn without jargon, ask questions without embarrassment, and build confidence step by step. A place where finance is treated not as something reserved for the wealthy or the elite, but as a skill anyone can develop.

My goal with HCG is simple:

to help people move from confusion to clarity, from hesitation to action, and from short-term thinking to long-term financial independence.

Alongside my studies, I founded the Finance and Accounting Society at my university to create a practical, student-led environment where finance is discussed openly, critically, and accessibly — beyond textbooks and exams. Seeing students engage, ask questions, and build confidence reinforced something I’ve always believed: when finance is explained clearly and honestly, people don’t shy away from it — they lean in. That experience shaped my broader vision.

From Campus to HCG

Haseli Consulting Group is an extension of that same thinking. HCG exists to help people — especially students and young professionals — build financial confidence. Not by overwhelming them with jargon, but by giving them the tools to understand money, make informed decisions, and take control of their financial future at their own pace.
